Description
The main aim of this course is to help students to conduct a research project and write a dissertation on a topic of their choice. At the same time they will be introduced to some of the most commonly used research methods in (socio)linguistics and English language research.

Prerequisites
Students taking this course should have done one or more of the following Part I components: 

• Linguistics
• English Language
• Sociolinguistics

The course is for 3rd year majors only, but begins in students' second year.
