Ensuite Bowland HallWe encourage applicants to come to one of our Open Days to see what we think Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster has to offer. There will be various presentations and mini-lectures for both students and parents, student-led tours round campus, including the chance to view a typical study bedroom. Refreshments and the opportunity to speak to members of staff within the Department and other Departments closely linked to Linguistics and English Language, will be available during each Open Day. Our students tell us that the Lancaster experience is quite special and that you need to come to an Open Day in order to appreciate Lancaster's advantages.

Townhouse bedroomIf you can't make it to one of our open days you can still get a sense of what it would be like to come and study with us by watching some video-clips by undergraduate students. Our students thought that they could help prospective students appreciate what the Lancaster experience is like. Also available are video-clips by members of staff talking about aspects of the Department's work.

Campus Tours

If you are unable to attend one of the department Open Days or would like to visit us before making an application then you can still visit us as part of the University's Campus Tours or Visit Days.
