HomeThe study of Human Rights has become an interdisciplinary concept in academic circles. Researchers in law, politics, sociology, geography, criminology, history and other disciplines are currently carrying out work of substantial importance to the human rights debate. The Human Rights Forum for academic staff and postgraduate students is established by the Law School at Lancaster University. It seeks to engage all academics interested in issues related to human rights broadly defined. We aim to draw upon the wealth of experience from all academic fields and create an interdisciplinary and interactive forum, in which the participants will determine activities and focus. The Forum aims at gathering colleagues at the University (and beyond) who are interested in rights issues from a broad academic perspective. The purpose of the forum is:
The Forum is here to facilitate cooperation and activities – its success is dependent upon the interest and activities of participants. The participants of the Human Rights Forum will determine its activities according to what they want to engage in. To become a participant of the Forum, please send an email.
