young people exploring physics at university""is a research and development programme primarily concerned with issues of educational equality and widening participation.

Through our work we seek to aid understanding that will inform policy and enhance learning opportunities for groups of learners experiencing exclusion.

We undertake research in partnership with schools, colleges and universities and the voluntary sector.

Proud Grandmother and her GranddaughtersThe Community Access Team has specific areas of expertise in working with learners, who belong to minority ethnic communities, live in areas of social deprivation, have experience of disability, unemployment, or lack recent involvement in learning.

We have a particular interest in the role of the family, local community and the voluntary sector with respect to their role in raising awareness about higher education and encouraging lifelong learning.
