If you are a Leader, Manager, Supervisor, promotion panel participant, teaching and research committee member, a Dean, or a Principal Investigator, this programme will clarify equality and diversity issues.
Course detail
The programme explains how the University organises equality and diversity activity and the daily practices required in creating a culture for the maximum benefit of all. It also covers legislation (including the Equality Act 2010) and explains the related language and terms.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Describe the legal requirements around equality and diversity
- Understand the organisation of equality and diversity activity at the University
- Appreciate the equality and diversity decision points that directly involve you and for which you are accountable
- Put into practice approaches to take equality and diversity forward within your area and make decisions based on these
