Manual Handling Risk Assessment for Managers and Supervisors

Is this course for me?

Please attend if you are a supervisor of manual staff, the area safety officer, a laboratory technician, grounds staff or security and pertering staff who supervise or plan the work of people who regularly lift and carry materials and equipment.

You should also attend if you are appointed the role of manual handling assessor by a Head of Department in accordance wtih section 16 of the manual of safety.

Course detail

The course deals with the risk assessment of manual handling activities in different situations looking at good lifting technique as well as practical alternatives to manual handling when planning work.It also looks at different mechanical aids to assist with manual handling and the regultions governing manual handling.
