Please attend if you are a member of staff appointed to the role of Manual Handling Assessor in accordance with Section 16 of the Manual of Safety.
Course detail
The course deals with the risk assessment of manual handling activities in different situations looking at good lifting technique as well as practical alternatives to manual handling when planning work.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Assess the risk of injury from manual handling
- Plan work to avoid or reduce manual handling
- Specify mechanical aids to aid manual handling
- Deliver training and instruction on sound lifting and manual handling techniques
