Course detail
The course describes the role of a College Advisor, looks at referral routes for common student issues and the support available to help you fulfill your role. Specific topics include: an overview of the role and context for development; what a student can expect of a College Advisor; common issues facing students and the central support offered; how the College Advisor is supported; and additional training development opportunities which may be of interest.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- State the key activities and responsibilities of a College Advisor
- Describe the referral routes available to a College Advisor and how to access them
- Be aware of the support available to College Advisors
