This is a Secondment Agreement between: Lancaster University and organisation and person concerned.
The purpose of this agreement is to clarify arrangements, terms and conditions by which person concerned shall be seconded by his/her employer, to Lancaster University as a research assistant.
The "organisation" agrees to second person concerned to Lancaster University for two days a week for a period of two years starting on 1 April 2001. The University agrees to reimburse the replacement costs of person concerned.
Lancaster University shall reimburse the "organisation" for employment costs of this variation for the period of the secondment.
Throughout the period of the secondment person concerned will remain an employee of XXX who shall remain responsible for PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
The purpose of the secondment is to carry out the tasks of the research assistant detailed in XXX. For the period of the secondment person concerned shall be responsible to XXX, Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University, for the work undertaken.
The University may ask for the secondment to be terminated with one month's notice for good reason.
Person concerned may, with the agreement of their employer terminate the secondment by giving the University one month's notice.
At the end of the secondment period, or should the secondment be terminated before the above end date, the person concerned will return to their existing post with their employer on the same terms and conditions.
In the event of termination the University shall cease to reimburse theemploying organisation for any costs associated with this secondment.
Any income earned as a result of the research shall remain the property of the University.
Publications which are a direct result of this research will appropriately acknowledge the contribution of person concerned.
For the duration of the secondment person concerned will also be appointed to the University as an unpaid visiting member of staff.
