Campus Car Parking
Benefit: Car Parking *New Benefit*
Background: A single staff zone and permit price will be implemented from 1 October 2010 and the Car Parking benefit has been designed to provide parking for employees in the most cost effective way through salary sacrifice. An alternative to a car parking permit is a free bus pass to staff on grades 1 and 2 or a subsidised pass for grades 3 and above. (Please See Stagecoach Bus Season Ticket)
The annual salary sacrifice required to receive a permit is £150.00 for grade 1 and 2 or £75.00 for grade 3 and above. Your salary will be reduced equally over 12 months. The car parking policy can be found here.
You will not be able to select this benefit if you have chosen to take the Stagecoach Bus Season Ticket option.
All annual parking permits must be selected through the flexible benefits system.Flexible Benefit Options: There will be four options available but only one may be selected. The options are as follows:
Car Parking Option 1 – Standard Option for single car commuters (£150.00 or £75.00 for grades 1 and 2)
Amendments to Benefit: This benefit can be selected at annual enrolment or if you experience a qualifying Life Event.
Tax and NI implications: This is operated by salary sacrifice. You will not pay tax and NI on this benefit.
Savings: A member of staff on £25,000.00 choosing Option 1 would save approximately £44.10.
How do I get this benefit? Car Parking permits will be sent to your home address at the end of September. Please ensure that we hold your current address by updating your details in employee self service. https://hr.lancs.ac.uk:8643/concerto/Portal/

- Car Parking Option 3 – Special Needs
