The holiday in the central administration will be taken as follows:
(i) Bank Holidays 2012

(ii) Christmas and New Year
The Vice-Chancellor has exceptionally authorised that, this year, the University will close at 5.00 pm on Friday 21 December 2012 and re-open at 9.00am Wednesday 2 January 2013.
(iii) Easter
The University will close at 5.30 pm on Wednesday 27 March 2013 and reopen at 9.00 am on Thursday 4th April 2013(iv) Bank Holidays 2013

It is recommended that these periods should be used throughout the University, but Heads of Departments may make other arrangements as necessary. Where staff are required to work during the Christmas and Easter closure periods, replacement days will be granted.
