Subsidised Staff Unirider Bus Pass
This is available to new staff joining the University before 31 December 2012. A free bus pass can be obtained for staff on grades 1 and 2 and a subsidised bus pass can be purchased for £67 per year for staff on grades 3 and above. For all staff joining the University between 1 November and 31 December 2012, the cost of the pass will be deducted in one installment from the next available salary window. The bus pass will be based on either the Lancaster Unirider Central or Unirider South (along the 40/41/42 bus routes between campus and Catterall to the south) travel areas. The bus pass is only valid for commuter journeys.
You will not be able to select this benefit if you have chosen to take the Car Parking benefit.
By selecting this benefit you will make a significant saving as an annual bus pass costs £323 to purchase. This represents a great incentive to travel to the University by bus.
Amendments to Benefit: This benefit can only be selected at annual enrolment and cannot be changed part way through the year.
Tax and NI implications: This is taken from net pay so there are no savings on tax and NI.
