Cyber Security is a significant and ever growing global issue. This postgraduate cyber security course has been designed to meet the requirements of the current and next generation of cyber security specialists. The MSc in Cyber Security delivers the skills and knowledge necessary to become a leading cyber security specialist.

Certification Backing

Core elements of the technical curriculum build upon well established and recognised certification programmes such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)2, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and CHFI (Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator) from the EC-Council. This enables successful students to obtain industry recognised qualifications to increase your earning potential and stand out in the global Cyber Security employment market place.

The Programme

The MSc takes an interdisciplinary approach to cyber security combining eight taught modules from ICT Focus,Computing, Law and Criminology and a research disertation. Current module titles are:

  • Information System Security Management,
  • Information System Penetration and Countermeasures,
  • Information System Forensic Investigation,
  • Information System Risk Management,
  • Cybercrime,
  • Introduction to Law for Cyber Security Specialists,
  • Network and Systems Security,
  • Crime and Criminal Behaviour
