All staff at Lancaster University are entitled to an Exchange email account. Exchange email is currently accessed on campus using Office 2007 and Outlook 2010.

Installation

Outlook 2010 should be already installed on new PCs for staff.

Outlook Versions 

The table below indicates the correct version of the corporate version of Outlook for your system. Home users may use Outlook Express which has a ISS support web site Remote Access.

To find out which Operating System you are running:

1. click on the 'Start' button - see menu pop-up.
2. see 'system name' on left of menu.

Or..

1. click 'Start' then 'Run' option.
2. type: command - then press Enter.
3. type: winver - then press Enter - see dialog with version of Windows.

To find out which version of Outlook you are running:

• in Outlook, click on the 'Help' menu.
• click on 'About Microsoft Outlook' option - read version off resulting dialog box.

The corporate version of Outlook needs to be installed by ISS - ring the Staff Help Desk on x10987.

Remote Access
