
This page is about creating a rule in Outlook 2007 to move ISS-Detected SPAM to the 'Junk mail' folder or the 'Deleted Items' folder.

Filtering ISS Marked Spam in Outlook Express
You filter for messages marked *ISS-Detected SPAM* in Outlook Express by doing the following:
- ensure that you are in the main window of Outlook Express.
- click on the 'Tools' then 'Message Rules' option then 'Mail' option - see 'New Mail Rule' Dialog.
- click on 'Where the Subject line contains specific words' option - see tick against it and 'contains specific words' option appear at the bottom of the dialog.
- click on the 'contains specific words' option at the bottom of the dialog - see 'Type Specific Words' dialog appear.
- type: *ISS-Detected SPAM* - be careful of the capitalisation.
- click on the 'Add' button - see OK button light up.
- click OK - see 'New Mail Rule' dialog.
- click on the 'Move to a specified folder' option - see 'Specified' (folder) option appear below.
- click on 'Specified' option - see 'Move' dialog appear.
- click on the 'New' button.
- type in: Spam then click OK - see new folder.
- click on the new 'Spam' folder then click OK.
- against 'Name of the rule' type: ISS Spam then click OK
- click OK again.
If you have 'ISS-Detected Spam' that you would like to move to the 'Spam' folder, do the following:
- click on the 'Tools' then 'Message Rules' option then 'Mail' option - see 'New Mail Rule' Dialog.
- click on 'Apply Rule' button - see ISS-Detected Spam moved to Spam folder.
From now ISS-Detected Spam will be moved to the Spam folder automatically.
Checking the Spam Folder
You will need to check the Spam folder for 'False Spam' occasionally.
- click into the Spam folder.
- check for non-Spam messages and move any out.
- Press Ctrl & A to highlight all message.
- press the Delete key - see all messages marked for deletion.
