What is an IT Partner For?
There are already networking links established between senior colleagues around the University. The IT Partner network broadens those links and provides additional direct routes into ISS to get things done. An IT Partner is a senior point of contact between a Faculty/Group and ISS for direct professional support. A partner visit or telephone call for example can provide opportunity for the Faculty Dean/ Section Head / Head of Department to raise issues of concern, seek advice, comment on current service levels, and hear about work underway and to comment on IT development priorities.
The objectives of the IT Partners are:
- To establish and maintain a good service relationship between ISS and their allocated Faculty or Group, based on understanding the University and its main drivers.
- To ensure that ISS is satisfying the IT needs of the University through the delivery of its Services.
- To help develop business cases for new service requirement needs, when solutions are not delivered by the current or planned ISS Services.
