The Learning Zone is a resource for users to connect, explore, learn and innovate. Please respect the environment, equipment and other users at all times.
- Users should respect the learning space of others and use the Learning Zone with care and consideration for other users.
- Users should keep the Learning Zone tidy and litter free.
- Non-alcoholic drinks and cold food are permitted, however the consumption of hot food is not permitted in the Learning Zone.
- Users should not leave their belongings unattended.
- Lost property found in the Learning Zone and handed to a member of staff will be forwarded to Security.
- Audio-visual and mobile devices may be used in the Learning Zone with due regard for others.
- Reservations for Learning Zone equipment or spaces will be held for up to 10 minutes before their reallocation.
- Users of the Learning Zone should show their Library card if asked to do so.
- Entry to the Learning Zone out of hours will be only by use of a valid Library card.
- Unaccompanied users who are not members of the University will be referred to University Security.
- Users may not bring into the Learning Zone any animal (other than an assistance dog) or unduly large bags.
- Children aged 16 or under (other than those registered on a course at the University) must be accompanied at all times. Users bringing children into the Learning Zone are responsible for their safety and for ensuring that they cause no disturbance or damage.
- Images are recorded via CCTV for the purposes of crime prevention, public and staff safety.
- Users of the Learning Zone are subject to the University Rules and Regulations and are responsible for their own possessions. Serious or persistent breaches may be referred to the University Dean.
