Why is the certificate changing?
On eduroam a certificate is used during the connection process to setup a secure communication tunnel between your device and the authentication server.
The current certificate is due to expire on 12th February 2012 and needs to be replaced.
What will be changing?

When will the change happen?
ISS will change the certificate on Tuesday 7th February 2012 at 7am.
What do I need to do once the change has happened?
Once ISS have replaced the certificate, you will need to reconnect to eduroam. The table below identifies the steps that you will need to take depending on your operating system.

| Mac OS X (10.6 and earlier) |
You will need to edit your server trust settings so that the new certificate is trusted.
This can be configured before the certificate changes on 7th February 2012 so that your eduroam connection will
not be distrupted when the change happens. Click here for step by step instructions. |
| Mac OS X (10.7 Lion) |
No changes are needed. Your eduroam connection will automatically reconfigure once the certificate has been replaced. |
| iPhone | You will need to reconnect to eduroam. Click here for step by step instructions. |

| Nokia E71 (Symbian) |
You will need to install the new Certification Authority Root Certificate before 7th February. Click here for step by step instructions. |
