Tue 03 Jan 2006 - Graphic File Exploit
Due to a new Trojan found to be infecting graphic files, ISS changed the campus-wide settings of Windows XP so images were not automatically opened. Users need to reboot or re-login to take advantage of this change. Up-to-date versions of Symantec AntiVirus does protect against current editions of the threat, but users should be wary of pictures (JPG's or WMF files) in emails from unknown sources.
