Central file server connectivity was interrupted for a few minutes during the afternoon to allow for the application of security updates. All work was carried out quickly and users were unaffected. All systems are now fully operational.

Tue 04 Apr 2006 - External Internet Connectivity problem

There was a brief external internet connectivity problem between 09:10 and 09:15 when a core switch was temporarily shut down by a contractor working in the Machine Room. The problem was quickly rectified by a member of ISS. All systems ran without further problems for the rest of the day.

Mon 03 Apr 2006 - All systems ran without major problems

Sat 1 Apr 2006 - Faraday Building power outage

09:00-16:00 Power work in the Faraday building over the weekend meant that ISS network provision, in the vicinity of the Faraday building was unavailable, as equipment was powered down. This also affected PC labs in the Faraday building as they were without power for the duration of the work.

Sat 1 Apr 2006 to Mon 3rd April - Central servers at risk

All systems affected by the recent weekend work on the central servers have been restored and all are now fully operational.
