Tue 30 Sep - Faraday offices and labs

During the at risk period between 07:00 and 09:00 on 30th September work was done to improve the resilience to the Medical school, Faraday computer labs and other offices within the Faraday building.

Fri 26 Sep - PCs upgraded and moved

Fifty PCs from the Portakabin PC Lab, which has been closed over the summer vacation, have been upgraded to new all-in-one units. The Portakabin PC Lab will remain closed and will not re-open. The fifty upgraded 'Portakabin' PCs have been placed in the Library and the Lonsdale College PC Labs

Wed 24 Sep - LUVLE services maintenance

Luvle, myPlace, my Modules, online assessments and module feedback was unavailable between 4:30pm and 5pm on Wednesday 24th September to allow for server maintenance work to be carried out.

Tue 23 Sep - Network Maintenance in Bowland Tower area

During the at risk period on 23rd September work to allow for expansion in the Bowland Tower area was carried out. Work began at 0700 and was completed by 0900. Offices affected were from above Uni Travel to above the Newsagent.

Fri 19 Sep - Windows XP PCs To Be Upgraded To SP3 From Friday 19th September 2008

From Friday 19th September 2008, ISS will allow its 'update server' to deploy Windows SP3 (SP3) to all Windows XP PCs on the campus network. The 'install package' will be downloaded and installed 'silently' in the background. When the installation is complete the PC will be rebooted, either automatically if the user is logged off, or following a prompt if the user is logged on. SP3 is a free update for Windows XP. SP3 includes all previously released Windows XP updates, including security updates, hotfixes, and selected out-of-band releases. More Information

Thu 11 Sep - Network Problems

A network configuration error caused an outage to network connectivity for approx 15minutes at around 10:00 this morning. This configuration error has been corrected and service restored.
