Green - The New Black and White

ISS have installed new monochrome (black and white) printers throughout the Library. The new printers default to auto duplexing which benefits users in a number of ways.

The new 'Instant On' technology means the first page is printed within 8.5 seconds (from Ready mode). The new printers output at speeds of up to 52 pages per minute with 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution. This ensures clean sharp images and text.

Auto duplexing reduces paper usage by approximately 25% and with each side costing only 4.5p (rather than 5p for a singled sided page), users save money too.

All in all, our greenest black and white printers to date.
