ISS are undertaking failover proving exercises for all virtualised IT servers and services.

10/09/2011 - ISS Failover Exercise
The scheduled failover exercise was undertaken on Saturday and proved useful in providing information about how the virtual infrastructure systems perform in potential failure scenarios. This information will enable ISS to improve the service.
All services should now be fully restored.

Members of ISS will be on campus working on this throughout the period. ISS will continue to monitor the systems after the exercise is completed and will work with service and virtual server owners to ensure their services are fully available by Monday morning. Any service owner who wishes, will be contacted by email to check their systems after the exercise.
