To upgrade the Exchange email system used by most staff, and some postgraduates, at Lancaster University.
Project Objective
The objective of this project is to upgrade the University’s corporate messaging system from the current system, based on Microsoft Exchange 2003, to a new system based on Microsoft Exchange 2010 running on new hardware.
This is an important and significant upgrade to a critical business function provided to staff and some PG students. The upgrade will both modernise the service and enable significant business benefits to be realised from improved functionality and to facilitate better access for integration with developing integrated communications technologies.
