Phishing emails tempt you into sending your personal details to an attacker. They very nearly always look very personal to you.
Learning Points
- Never answer email requests for your personal details (including your passwords, account details and addresses).
- Remember, they are often personalised and appear to come from someone or somewhere you knonw.
- Never click on links in emails.
- Learn to watch for the signs of phishing.
- Remember, reputable businesses do not ask for sensitive information in an email.
- Contact the company directly if you are unsure if they have sent the email.
- Always use strong passwords.
