Phishing 

Phishing emails tempt you into sending your personal details to an attacker. They very nearly always look very personal to you.

Learning Points

  1. Never answer email requests for your personal details (including your passwords, account details and addresses).
  2. Remember, they are often personalised and appear to come from someone or somewhere you knonw.
  3. Never click on links in emails.
  4. Learn to watch for the signs of phishing.
  5. Remember, reputable businesses do not ask for sensitive information in an email.
  6. Contact the company directly if you are unsure if they have sent the email.
  7. Always use strong passwords.
