Copy and Paste Long Text Tip

Sometimes the commands given out on these pages are long and difficult to type accurately. Use this tip to copy long text commands then paste them into a Run box so that you don't have to type them.

Copy Text

To copy the text from Internet Explorer or Netscape:

  1. drag a highlight across the text command that is quoted in IE or Netscape - be careful not to get irelevant characters.
  2. click on the 'Edit' menu then the 'Copy' option.

Pasting the Command into a Run Box

  1. click 'Start' button then the 'Run' option - see block box.
  2. press: Ctrl and V - see command pasted down.
  3. click OK - see command run.

Click on the X at the top right of this window to close it.
