Specialist staff provide support for software in research related areas, including graphics and databases. The Statistical Consultancy Service in the Centre for Applied Statistics provide support for numerical, statistical and qualitative applications. Help is also available with computationally-intensive work on the University's high performance systems, as well as with the use of some external data and "supercomputing" facilities.
