State of the Service Bulletins
MOTD (Message Of The Day) - MOTD web page - ISS puts out information whenever there is a system problem, or system servicing will take place, or any other item of service news. On the Unix system this is displayed when you login. On a networked PC there is an system that you can install on your PC and it is recommended that you do so. Contact the ISS Service Desk if you need help to install MOTD on your PC.
There is an online advisory service which is checked on a regular basis. Email queries to iss-service-desk@lancaster.ac.uk You should receive a reply within one working day.
