Recommended Versions of WindowsWhich version of Windows you run depends on the capabilities of your PC: ISS recommends Windows XP Professional and specifically the Managed XP System for most systems. ISS recognises that Windows Vista is available in the marketplace, but ISS is not recommending Windows Vista for use on staff PCs. ISS is testing Windows Vista for use in PC Labs and is testing new Managed Vista Build. ISS recommends users with older PCs to upgrade the hardware and run Windows XP Professional and specifically the Managed XP System. Legacy Systems - ISS recommends that you do not run Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP home or Windows NT.
