Research by LAEL shortlisted for International Language Testing Associations' Best Article Award

Article on the role of creativity in second language speech performance co-authored by Shungo Suzuki (former PhD student in the department), Judit Kormos and Japanese colleagues was included in the shortlist of the International Language Testing Associations' Best Article Award for papers published in 2022. Their study found that speakers’ creativity is linked to grammatical, lexical and discourse aspects of second language speech production.
