Some useful links for post-graduate and early career researchers...Postgraduate JournalseSharp: eSharp is an international online journal for postgraduate research in the arts, humanities, social sciences and education. Based at the University of Glasgow and run entirely by graduate students, it aims to provide a critical but supportive entry into the realm of academic publishing for emerging academics, including postgraduates and recent postdoctoral students. ManuScript: ManuScript is the peer-reviewed journal in English and American Studies from the University of Manchester. Since 1996, it has encouraged rigorous intellectual discussion and progressive research which reflects critical debates across a variety of disciplines. It aims especially to promote the work of postgraduates and early career academics, and to provide a forum for intellectual and cultural concerns. Postgraduate English: A Journal and Forum for Postgraduates in English (UK), provided by Durham Univeristy. Postgraduate Forum: The purpose of Postgraduate Forum is to provide a means for postgraduates in the School of Historical Studies at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne to promote their research and work. MHRA Working Papers: MHRA Working Papers in the Humanities is an electronic publication forum intended to allow researchers to present initial findings or hypotheses such as might, at a more advanced stage, become eligible for publication in established scholarly journals. As such it will be of particular interest to postgraduate researchers, though established scholars are also invited to submit papers. Philament: Philament is a free online journal of postgraduate scholarship in the fields of cultural studies and the literary arts. It is edited and published by an editorial collective of postgraduate students from the University of Sydney but aims to develop an intellectual community that has both an interdisciplinary and intercampus nature. Other online journalsThe Looking Glass: The Looking Glass - New Perspectives on Children's Books is an electronic journal about children's literature. The site was launched April 2, 1997 -- International Children's Book Day. As our name suggests, we combine an interest in the traditional with an eye to the modern. Our readers and contributors are academics, librarians, teachers, parents and anyone else fascinated by the world of children's literature. This journal is published by a small group of volunteers. Peer English: The Journal of the English Association, in partnership with Leicester University. As the journal of new critical thinking, our aim is to provide a forum for exciting and high-quality work by early career researchers. We especially welcome submissions, therefore, from lecturers, assistant or associate professors, senior graduate students, or post-doctoral researchers or teachers. Slayage: The Whedon Studies Association Journal. Gothic Studies: Gothic Studies is the refereed journal of the International Gothic Association. The journal currently appears twice each year, in May and November, and publishes a mixture of general issues and guest-edited specials.
