We live in a complex world where big decisions need to be made in the face of uncertainty and lack of information.
Statistics and Operational Research apply mathematics to understand, quantify and manage this uncertainty so that better decisions can be made and actions taken with greater confidence.
The STOR-i doctoral training centre at Lancaster University brings together Statistics and Operational Research and collaboration with industry in an innovative four year programme of teaching and research.
