Ensemble Methods for Ontology Learning
This is still work in Progress. Please,
forgive the incomplete links.
OntoLancs is a new framework for ontology learning. A java
tool to support this framework have been developed. However, this tool is
not available to download yet. We will let you know when this tool will be
available to download.

Project
- Summarize
OntoLancs, was created for investigating how best to combine individual techniques as ensembles. OntoLancs provides a protocol that enables NLP techniques to be treated as plug-ins. Once integrated, different techniques can be combined using a simple language. OntoLancs also provides support for organizing the discovered concepts into a domain ontology and encoded using the OWL ontology language. f a domain ontology already exists, the results of applying NLP techniques can be compared against it and the techniques performance can be benchmarked.
We are using this feature to evaluate the relative performance of different ensembles of NLP techniques in order to guide their application in analysis problems. - Tutorial

Help & Support
- Phase 1: Pre-Processing
Domain texts are tagged morpho-syntactically and semantically - Phase 2: Ensemble Methods
The system provides a set of NLP and machine learning methods, which an user can combine in order to identify candidate concepts - Phase 3: Concepts Definition
In this phase, a domain lexicon is built. Definitions for each concept are extracted from several on-line sources automatically - Phase 4: Domain Ontology Construction
Concepts extracted during the previous phase are added to an intermediate ontology
