About me

This is, probably, the most boring page in the universe! The marvelous day that the world had me was on the 19th of June, 1986. I was born and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus.

I am a Greek-Cypriot, so my mother tongue is Greek. I also speak English very well (this should get better, since I am studying in the UK), and my religion is Christian-Orthodox.

I am not a mystic and my views are realistic, simplistic. Most of the times I find myself to link my thinking with Computer Technology.

Computers

Aww the passion that powers my life! My first contact with computers was a long, long time ago (but I can still remember) when I saw my uncle working on his 386 laptop. Since then, the passion about them runs deeply inside my veins.

Hobbies

Mostly I spend my free time programming. You can find some of my projects at my website. My creations or bits of programs include contributing to various projects, such as Undernet IRCD, FreeBSD, and stuff for fun like an SMS Sender or a simple Operating System (called neutrix).

While Computers take a lot of my free time, my hobbies could also include photography and archery. You could see some photos I have taken at my online web-album

I also find myself keen on writing, hence I have a weblog where I describe my views on various subjects.

Academic

While I have been through the massacre of Cyprus National University Entry Exams, and succeded getting a place at Patra's University, Computer Engineering and Informatics Dept. (which was my first choice back then), I tried to widen my horizons, and applied for UK universities as well. So, I accepted a place at Lancaster University.

Currently, I am a Computer Science Major at Computing Department, Lancaster University studing for a BSc. (Hons) Degree. Since Lancaster University is one of the collegiate universities in the UK, I am a member of college as well, Lonsdale.
