About me

Iam an assistant lecturer in department of Linguistics in Cairo University.

Currently, I am a PhD student in Applied Linguistics (by thesis and coursework), department of Linguistics and English Language. I am working, under supervision of Dr. Andrew Hardie and prof. I have built some corpora for Arabic, but my recent project now is Building a representative, balanced, annotated corpus i.e. Modern Written Corpus of Contemporary Arabic (MWcoca). The corpus contains more than one billion words, derived from newspapers, magazines and websites, covering 15 domains during the last 10 years
