Welcome to to my website!
I am currently an MRes student at STOR-i. Prior to joining STOR-i I completed a bachelor degree in telecommunications at the Technical University Sofia (Bulgaria). Though the courses were oriented more towards engineering, I really enjoyed the subjects which were more theoretical. These included information theory, statistics, digital processing and teletraffic. During my studies at the university, I also undertook many other projects, one of which involved the problem of the optimal power control algorithm in LTE networks, which I solved using an evolutionary algorithm. This problem required many hours of thinking which restarted my interests in mathematical problem solving, philosophy and quantum mechanics. It also led me to some new interests like graph theory and algorithms. I graduated with a thesis on optimization, in which I created a maximum clique finding algorithm for determining the optimal positions of the base stations in a LTE network.
