General Information
Procurement's mission is to optimise available resources within Lancaster University in order to achieve best value for money in the procurement of goods and services. The role includes:
- providing professional guidance on all procurement matters especially relating to compliance
- negotiating contracts for major services and supplies
- providing support and advice in the preparation of tenders and requests for quotation
- encouraging collaborative procurement by the promotion of national and regional contracts and framework agreements
- conducting tenders electronically on behalf of departments
- issuing buyers' guides and written guidance on procurement matters
Provision of a procurement service for all goods and services ensuring regulatory procedures are practised, along with the co-ordination of all matters relating to insurance.
