Our aim is to make this site as accessible as possible to users of all computer platforms and visually impaired visitors using assistive technologies such as screenreaders. All our webpages and publications can be made availble in alternative formats, such as pdf and braille. Our website structure was developed following a 3 month review process. The work then centred on design and content, including benchmarking these against the sector. The before and after sites were tested with representative student groups. The navigation structure is designed to ensure all information can be reached within 3 hyperlinks. While the 'My Location' shows the exact location at all times.
We use external style sheets (CSS) and ALT text for all images throughout the site. |

The site is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. To change your screen resolution right click your desktop, choose 'properties' and the settings tab. Adjust and test/apply as desired.
The site uses relative font sizes, which means that if you want to see larger or smaller text, you can change the text size using your browser. In Internet Explorer this is done by going to the top menu and selecting 'View', then 'Text Size'. Medium is the usual setting, so selecting Larger or Largest will increase the text size. Similar facilities exist in other browsers, normally on the 'View' menu. Your browser's 'Help' menu should give you further information about making these adjustments.
