wi-fi update...

We're pleased to be able to offer wi-fi in all our accommodation from the start of the 2013/14 academic year. Students have enjoyed fast wired internet for many years now but with the rise of tablets and smart phones the need for wireless connectivity has intensified. Many buildings already offer this, with the rest being upgraded over the summer.

bowland tower...

Major refurbishment work has begun on the iconic Bowland Tower and its surrounding wings, with the buildings set to reopen in January 2014. You can read more about the project here, and find out how Bowlanders present and future can be the first to live in the new accommodation.

student experience survey ...

Lancaster has retained its joint second position in the 'Good Accommodation' category of the Times Higher Student Experience Survey. That's in addition to holding the top spot for three years in the National Student Housing Survey. We're grateful to all our residents that gave such positive feedback, and look forward to welcoming some new ones in September!

accommodation for next year...

If you're a current student you'll be thinking about where to live next year, you still have options open to you in University managed accommodation.

 

Most colleges still have vacancies for 2013-14, and if you are interested you can contact your Residence Officer for more details. Chancellor's Wharf also has vacancies, and if you would like family or couple accommodation you may be interested in our family flats.

still award winning!

We're extremely pleased to be able to announce that we have retained the title of Best University Halls for the third year running in the National Student Housing Survey. We have also added 'Best Arrival Experience' to the 'Best Booking Experience' title we also retained, and were awarded 'Best individual Accommodation' and 'Best Learning Environment' for the Fylde College residences. International students may like to know that we also retained our Quality Mark for international student accommodation - one of only five in the UK. All of the accommodation staff put a lot into making sure students enjoy their time here, and we're grateful to you all for recognising this! Read the full story here.
