We are now allocating rooms to first choice undergraduates, who can expect to receive an offer by email by the end of August.
Owing to the high demand for places, and the number of students that put Lancaster as their first choice, we will be unable to house many insurance students on campus this year. We will be communicating with these students by email in the next few days, explaining the situation.
The Students' Union will contact these students and advise them about letting agencies, and how to find accommodation in the Lancaster area. If you find yourself in this position you may want to join a special facebook group that will help all freshers in the city network with each other. The Students' Union will also provide details of this.
Please note that even if you are making your own living arrangements, you still need to apply to join one of the colleges.
If you applied through UCAS, we will continue to email you at the email address you provided on your UCAS form. If this has changed since you completed your application, you will need to ask UCAS (via Fast track) to update it for you. Unfortunately we are unable to change it at our end.
You may want to mark 'stures@lancaster.ac.uk' as a safe sender to avoid losing important correspondence in your junk folder.
You will be expected to read the details of your offer, and then accept it online if you agree to the terms and conditions. To accept, you will be directed to a secure payment site to pay the £200 deposit with a card, and after this you need to ‘accept’ on screen. You will have just 7 days to deal with this before the offer expires and we reallocate it to another student.
Please be aware that we offer you the accommodation that best matches your preferences, subject to its availability. If you receive an offer that you wish to reject, we will not be able to make an alternative offer, and your application will be cancelled. If you have any concerns about your allocation, you may wish to discuss it with the Residence Officer in charge of the accommodation before making a decision.
We wish you all the best as you prepare to come, look forward to welcoming you in the autumn.
