About Careers Fairs

Career Opportunities Fair

The Career Opportunities Fair is Lancaster University's annual careers fair. The event is held on campus and provides a meeting place for students, finalists, postgraduates, alumni and employers as well as a wide range of other career opportunity providers including the Voluntary and Work Experience Sector.

It has previously been run by the Careers Service as EMPLEX every year since 1989. In the last few years the event has expanded further to incorporate the Alumni Careers Fair, a Work Experience Fair, and a programme of career planning workshops as well as the long standing career exhibition. With the help of the Alumni Office, Lancaster University Volunteering Unit and the Students Union the event has now become one of the biggest independent careers fairs in the North of England.

The Careers Fair has a high profile at Lancaster and is one of the key events of the year. This Fair provides the best method for publicising your vacancies to the most motivated students - over 2,000 attended in 20 with 100 organisations represented.
