Careers Advisers

Our staff are qualified, experienced and objective and are available for one-to-one confidential discussions to support you in your career planning.

These sessions are likely to be of most use to you if you want to:

  • Identify issues which are important to you and which relate to your next steps
  • Explore your options and make choices between them
  • Clarify your plans for action and then implement them

The guidance process is, however, tailored to suit your needs, taking into consideration your personal ambitions and situation. We can also provide feedback on your CV, application forms and personal statements and help you prepare for interviews.

Appointments are thirty minutes long (there is no limit to the number of appointments you book) and you need to consider what can be realistically covered in this time. It will help to use the time most effectively if you have done some preparatory work, for example using the information in the Learner Resource Centre or completing Prospects Planner.

However, that doesn't mean you can only see a Careers Adviser if you have plenty of definite ideas!

Mock interviews are also available

  • Got a graduate job interview? Want some practice. Click here to find out more.
