Making yourself employableEverything you do at Lancaster countsThere are more graduates than ever and that means more competition than ever for graduate jobs. A good degree alone isn’t going to get you that good graduate job. A brief glance at a sample of graduate application forms or recruitment websites confirms that employers ask for detailed evidence of much more than your academic ability to convince them that you’re right for them.
So be ready to convince employers not only of your academic abilities (intellect, subject knowledge, research skills) but also of a whole range of work-related skills such as initiative; teamwork; communication; problem solving and a whole lot more besides.
