Personal Development Planning
Lancaster University provides all students with an online Personal Development Planner (PDP) called MyPlace. Using your PDP helps you to keep an on-going record of your achievements, interests, skills and experiences while you study for your degree – and to plan for your personal, educational and career development.
Your PDP is the ideal place to keep a record of all the experiences and achievements that will help your future job applications stand out from the crowd. In time your PDP will grow into a personal log that you can call upon for convincingly detailed evidence of the experiences, skills and aptitudes that employers will be asking for.
MyPlace http://myplace.lancs.ac.uk is your private and social web space to record and share reflections on your learning, explore your goals and aspirations, think about future careers, and support your personal development. It is based on the increasingly familiar tool of web log or blog.
