Applying for Government funding

 

How to apply - 2012 Entry.

 

You should contact the relevant assessment authority below as soon as possible after applying for a course. (See UCAS deadlines) or by the relevant deadline if you are a continuing student re-applying for financial support in second/subsequent years.

The websites below give full details of the process. Applications normally open after January in the year of entry. You should aim to apply as early as possible each year and before the relevant deadline below.

Step 3 - Receive completed notification

Make an online application from one of the websites below

 

Lancaster University has a UCAS institutional code of L14.

 

Courses of study have their own UACS codes, to search for courses click here

Choose whether to be financially assessed and the amount of loan you wish to borrow and submit application by the due date.

 

The award authority will complete an assessment.

 

 

You'll receive a notification letter advising you of your funding entitlement. Send the attached declaration to the Student Loans Company as instructed.

Once you have enrolled at Lancaster University our Student Registry will complete an attendance confirmation report and send it to the Student Loans Company.

 

The SLC will pay the loan/grant amounts within 3 - 5 days of University notification, to the bank account you nominated to them.

 

Students from the Islands are subject to different funding arrangements from mainland UK students. For information on support available to you for tuition fees and living costs you should contact your Island Education Offices. Islands students are not eligible for the main Student Loan, Access to Learning Fund or University Bursary. They are eligible for University scholarships.
