Student funding - Online database
The Student Funding Service has worked with ISS to develop a searchable online funding database, to help students identify funding and financial aid that they may be able to apply for. This is to promote the provision of coherant, comprehensive and clear information on financial assistance available for study under Section 7 of the University OFFA Access Agreement.
Please read the information below carefully before using the database to identify any awards for which you may be eligible to apply.
The database can be searched on a range of criteria including level of study (ug/pg), mode of study (full time/part time), application stage (pre or post entry) and department. You can also use a combination of filters to find financial awards which fit all the criteria you specify.
The Student Funding Service does not directly administer all awards, but manage the inclusion of financial awards in a standard format. Students should follow the individual application method specified in the detail for any award listed.
Academic departments may have financial awards that have not been supplied for listing. In these circumstances details will not be on the database, but may be listed on departmental web pages. Some postgraduate awards are listed separately on the postgraduate funding pages at: www.lancs.ac.uk/pgfunding.
Generally there are a limited number of awards available and competition is usually strong. Most students do need to have the majority of their funding for fees/living costs secured already from other sources. International students will need to demonstrate adequate funding for visa purposes. Postgraduate students are required to sign to certifty that they have sufficient funding to cover fees and living costs for the duration of their course, at the start of it.
