Police Registration

Do I need to register with the Police?

 

If you are a national of one of the countries on the list below you register with the Police during the main registration period of Sunday 30th September to Wednesday 3rd October, taking place in the Library.  If you are unable to attend this session you must ensure that you register with the Police at Lancaster Police Station within 7 days of arrival in the UK.

 


Please ensure you bring these documents with you to the registration session

 

  • Registration fee of £34.00 per person, payable by cash only.  Please ensure you have the correct amount of money.
  • Your passport and/or travel documents (visa, biometric residence permit etc).
  • One passport sized photograph.
  • Photocopy of main page of your passport and current visa page
  • The completed Overseas Registration Form

Nationals of countries in the above list are granted leave in accordance with Paragraphs 325 and 326 of the Immigration Rules, are required to register with the police where they are given leave to enter for more than 6 months. The entry clearance vignette must state if registration is necessary


Dual nationals should not be required to register unless both the nationalities held are listed above. Dependants aged 16 or over of nationals required to register with the police are only required to register if they are also nationals or citizens of one of the countries where registration is required.
