The National Student Survey is your opportunity to give your opinions on what you liked about your time at Lancaster University, as well as things that you felt could have been improved.

Your Opinion Matters

Based on the previous year's results we have implemented the following changes:

  • Introduced new activities to the Lancaster Award; available to all students to strengthen your CV to ensure you stand out from other applicants.
  • Changed the way we mark your work and asked all departments to publicise their marking criteria.
  • Students can now access their learning record and their coursework and exam marks online.
  • Introduced "world food, local flair" in University catering outlets to include healthier options and locally sourced food.
  • Extended the Library opening hours and increased expenditure on multiple copies and e-books by 78%
  • Worked with you to design new social spaces in all of the colleges
  • Created a new quiet study area in the Library
  • Opened a new sports centre with a 25 metre swimming pool, climbing wall and dance studio.

The results are also published on Unistats.com where prospective students and their advisors can use the information to make informed choices of what and where to study.
