2011 Reassessment Information

If you have to resit any of your modules full instructions on what you are required to do will be given online. You should note that there is a fee of £30 per Part I module (up to a maximum of £100) and £25 per Part II module (up to a maximum of £100) for all reassessments. The fee applies regardless of whether the resit is in the form of an examination or coursework.

All resit examinations will take place at the University between 22 - 26 August 2011. Please note that second year resit examinations cannot be deferred until your final year.

International Students

International students should note that, in exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to resit examinations in your home country at a British Council office or equivalent. However this needs to be organised well in advance; you must e-mail Heather Harrington in the Student Registry (h.harrington@lancaster.ac.uk) as soon as possible and no later than Friday 22 July 2011 to make the necessary arrangements. Please give the following information in the e-mail; Full Name, Library Card number, modules which are to be resat and the country in which you wish to take your resits. An additional fee of £150 is payable regardless of which country the examination is sat, plus the normal reassessment fee as given above. You will also be responsible for paying a local arrangement fee to the British Council. Please note that there is no guarantee that arrangements can be made for all international students; in previous years it has not been possible to organise exam sittings in certain countries. You are advised to contact the Student Registry if you are unsure as to whether arrangements can be made in your case. These arrangements apply only to international students sitting examinations in their home country; it is not possible for students travelling or working abroad to sit resit examinations overseas.
