The Centre for Medical Education and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust will be holding a joint open meeting on Wednesday 15th November 2006 at The Royal Lancaster Infirmary's Education Centre.
The meeting marks the expansion of medical education in the area, and will provide an opportunity for University and NHS colleagues to meet.
There will be a mixture of invited and local speakers talking about both medical education and medical research, and the day will close with a talk by Professor Sam Leinster, Dean of the Medical School at the University of East Anglia, about his experiences in setting up a new medical school.
Enquiries about the day should be addressed to Professor Anne Garden, Director of the Centre for Medical Education.
