Dianne Wilkinson from LEC is the only nomination for this committee and is therefore elected unopposed.
Two nominations have been received for the Policy and Resources Committee and so a secret ballot will be held. The candidates are Clive Barker from Psychology and Gail Neville from Engineering.
A short statement from each candidate is available to download. Come to B25 in the faculty office between 9-5pm before Friday 24 October to cast your vote! Please remember that voting is open to non-academic members of staff in the faculty (staff in technical, clerical, secretarial, administrative and research roles).
This is the final call for nominations for the PG Studies Committee and Research Committee.
Nominations should be signed by a nominee and a seconder who must both themselves satisfy the criteria for eligibility. Nominations should comprise the name of the relevant committee together with a brief statement declaring that the person nominated is willing to stand. Please submit nominations to Lucy Thorne by Friday 24 October.
Applications are currently being invited for the University Small Grants Scheme 2008/2009. Grants up to a maximum of £7,000 are available to support individual or collaborative research.
More details are available on the Research Support Office web pages. The closing date for applications is Friday 31 October.
